Early Intervention

Early Childhood Intervention is provided by specialist teachers with a broad understanding of child development. They work alongside parents, carers, teachers and health professionals.

Early Childhood Intervention Specialist Teachers:

  • Work with the family to develop strategies to achieve the goals identified in each child’s National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan.

  • Focus on the child’s strengths and interests to develop functional skills.

  • Create play-based experiences that enhance and strengthen the child’s capacity in all developmental areas.

  • Create personalised resources to support the child’s learning and development.

  • Assist in the transition to school process.

  • Collaborate with other services to develop opportunities and experiences for participation.
